There are feds probably monitoring this website and if some brocel decides to go ER, I am afraid that will cause them to lookin at other people on this site as potential threats.

I do think it's good to review the rules and moderation from time to time to make sure that if something really bad like that did happen the forum wouldn't look somehow responsible.
Essentially, remove all sorts of liability like how 4chan didn't get shutdown besides Alec Minassian posting there before the Van Attack.

It's not unreasonable to want a platform to survive such things. I'm sure Alec or others posted on many social media sites including some of the big ones but they don't get shut down every time.
As long as you remove the content and said users from your platform you should be fine, besides 4chan's policy makes it so user's are responsible for what they post rather than the host or provider.
