Do explain the methodology behind increasing iq score? I've always heard its largely genetic.
Ops thread about writing well sourced, and well structured threads attributes it to IQ, which isn’t really a main driver of it
Crystallized intelligence is one of the components to general intelligence, and has to do with accumulated knowledge, vocabulary, skills (example: structured and well thought out threads) This component is known to be plastic (aka responds very well to effort and environmental factors)
It’s grows with age and it is trained by reading, education, writing regularly, and just the basic things you fan think of
Now yes, the other component: Fluid intelligence which is raw reasoning ability, spotting patterns etc, peaks mid 20s and is pretty fixed(genetic) to support it you only have modest ways to do so like physical exercise, sleep quality, reducing stress, problem solving, nutrition
So bottom line, yes there are genetically fixed attributes for intelligence, but it doesnt mean you can’t get noticeably smarter by training the other parts of it which are malleable and actually matter to the threads context of making well written threads
Also im really sleep deprived and n a bus so i cant get more into it
