Nobody liked me and I would think "I'll work hard and show them. I'll be better than them in what they do." Be it school, sports, or anything relevant really.
Of course there were limitations and I couldn't be better than everybody.
After realizing how important looks are, I'm devastated because I'm totally helpless. I can't do anything and nobody can understand me. I'm in a constant state of anger/depression.
