I always assumed Pakistani people were Arabs

Up until yesterday when I googled the language spoken in Pakistan I thought they were Arabic speaking people.
I also thought Afghanistan and Iran were Arabs too.

They look like Arabs though as someone from Pakistan would look like Hamudi who is an Arab from Syria.

Iranians and (most) Afghans belong to the Middle Eastern genetic cluster. Pakis and North Indians belong to the South Asian one. So no it’s not “one ethnic group”; far from it

A negro from Sudan on my college campus once assumed I was an arab or sum even tho I'm actually a northern curry. Its a funny phenomenon. I feel like foreigners don't really have enough exposure to the NW curry phenotype, when they think of curries they think of central indians or dravidians. I've seen people on xitter say that Zohran Mamdani looks Iranian even though he literally looks the average uncle you spotted at family gatherings in the city I grew up in. My mum had an assistant who looked exactly like Mamdani lol, me and my brother even spoke of the similarities between them once.

Afghani Pashtroons are roughly equidistant from Iranians and Punjabis (who are the most west shifted NW curries) while Pakistani Pashtroons are closer to Punjabis than they are to Iranians.
