From this photo, we can see that Greenland resembles what is commonly shown in Greek mythology books
The furtherest north city today is Svalbard, which was discovered in 1596. There were no people in there, but according to some, there were disputed evidences of Pomor usage (Russian)
Greenland does seem to fit the bill for the location of Hyperborea and the first peoples were Eskimos.
Therefore for the identity of the original hyperboreans, the evidences or the modern era are 1.norsemen 2.pomors 3.siberians
Using my uneducated opinion, I believe some groups could have been intermixed with each other, so not all genetics will be intact.

Introduction. Greenland was first settled in the Holocene by the same Paleoeskimo peoples of the Arctic Small Tool tradition (ASTt) as are known from Eastern Canadian Arctic. The Paleoeskimos migrated into the Eastern Arctic (Northeastern Canada and Greenland) nearly 5000 years ago.
