Theory How would you argue against "Race is just pheno."

For preface, I'm not a race denier, but from what I've seen, some argue most of the core races are just extremely different pheno types due to isolation.

I don't have a full problem with this take but I do think it undermines bone structure and other parts or distinctions.

I've even seen some on this forum argue race is just an extension of phenotype.

I believe race is fundamentally real and a mixture of extremely different phenotype and bone structure/biology.

I mean I guess its not scientific, "race" is just a convenient way to categorize phenos so people wouldn't have to remember the difference between West Alpinids and Hallstatts. Just because they're both under the word white doesn't mean that they're genetically the same

You could argue africa has many races due to them looking extremely distinct depending on region.

I'd imagine that also goes for other African groups too.

A pygmy would fail a transplant in a dinka.

Mixed European ancestry can make bone marrow matching harder too, but nowhere near as difficult as for someone who’s part African and part European.

This makes sense because they are incredibly distinctive due to thousands of years.

Tbf there probably should but that's more of a linguistic issue more than anything. That's why I don't like the idea of broadening these things into one huge term, biological phenotypes should be taught in schools instead of just race on its own.

Late, but it's due to the fact that a lot of race falls down to genetics/genotype

For example, all Europeans descend from ANF, HG, and Steppe; despite the vast pheno differences
