Before I got hooked on energy drinks, I would prob. only drink ONE red bull (80 mg caffeine) ONCE a week and I would freak out and feel like I did something naughty.
Lo and behold, years pass and I take pre-workout (ultra-caffeinated) shakes, large energy drinks (Celsius, etc. from 200 mg to 260 mg) and I actually bought a caffeine tracker app that I logged my caffeine intake on consistently and I would average 400 to 700 mg DAILY.
I lowered that to 200-400 mg now but I can't quit.
I feel like shit. I sleep like 2 hours because of the caffeine-induced insomnia.
For now, I have decided to swear overt energy drinks off for good (no energy drinks, pre-workouts, etc.) and so I will limit my caffeine intake to soda, tea, etc. (~20-80 mg).
But I don't know if I will succeed.
