Obviously, it varies from country to country but I am looking in Manila and Cebu and other big cities and it's near impossible to get a decent paying job. I haven't checked job availability in Cambodia, Vietnam, Taiwan, South Korea, Thailand, Bhutan, or any of the other hotspots but Manila seems piss poor in terms of prospects. I was thinking maybe Indonesia will be good since they're moving their capital and I am a welder so there will be lots of buildings that need welds put on them.

tbh if I could go back, I'd rather do blue collar work or something with my hands, seems more engaging

Blue collar is amazing, i'd get into carpentry or plumbing if you really really want to be independent. Tbh these two go hand in hand. Being an electrician is cucked IMO and welding has the benefits of wagecucking without the downsides, and with the upsides of carpentry and plumbing. Its also the best for spergs like me.
