I have a theory on this. @GeckoBus
People like me are the result of a free, individualistic culture.
I do not benefit from freedom in any way because I lack the competence or willpower to decide how they want to live their lives
Instead of being liberated to do whatever they want, I am oppressed by my own indecision.
I need a domineering social structure, enforced religion, or strong state or whatever to tell me how to live, because i am incapable of being my own masters.

i think most people need that
like most people drop bad habits like drug addiction when social pressure mounts from getting married or having kids
stuff like that
we all are socially driven and social connections are the main source of energy for most humans
if you want to join a church, join the orthodox christian church
they lack a lot of the shit from other churches that people always criticize
