Especially at their head. I also have good noise-cancelling earphones in my mom gifted me. But I also need to stop looking people in the eyes especially if I don't wear a baseball cap.
Whenever I do I mostly get bad reactions and feel like shit about it for days. Any techniques that exist I maybe didn't think of?

Have your phone out and pretend to check something

I look down when I walk outside in public unless theres a possible threat in front of me and I have to go flight or fight mode

:yes:That's what I often do yeah + earphones + my hat. But it doesn't always work like when I'm with my parents or in a restaurant with them like today.

I should do that much more. I wear a baseball cap as much as possible, then it's easier. But today I couldn't, had to go to a restaurant with parents and I made the mistake of looking at people.

I have amblyopia in one eye and I usually just look to the right and left of their head to avoid eye contact. If you're talking about just looking at them in general, I would look at a nearby item.

Interesting, thanks.

I always just look at the ground or straight ahead but not at people when I'm outside
