I know for a lot of users 2010 seems like a long time ago, as that was your childhood, but I'm middle aged and it seems extremely recent to me. It therefore stands out more to me for how ridiculous it is, because I know how everything changed into an unrecognizable world.

I know the popular view is just to blame the Jews for everything, and while Jews - especially secular Jews - certainly played a big role in establishing the foundation for what we now see as SJW/woke/globohomo/clown world ideology, there is a huge difference between the pre-Reddit subverted world and what we have today.

It used to be that this shit - the radical feminism in particular, which is what really started everything else that followed from it - was fringe in the Democrat party, and only in Commiefornia was it taken seriously on any real level.

In the 2000s, we were moving the opposite direction. We were moving the South Park (although now they're fags too) direction. "Offensive jokes are good. Eminem was right. Even racist jokes are good. Free speech. Fuck off."

Then they did a complete 180.

Why?

It started with The Great Digg Migration in August of 2010, when Digg.com redesigned its website and pissed off its users. Millions swarmed to Reddit as a substitute.

The very next month, September of 2010, the subreddit, R/ShitRedditSays, was created. This was where SJWism took off.

The moderators of the R/ShitRedditSays forum had come over from SomethingAwful.com. Since 2008, they had been ruining that website by promoting the SJW shit, but it had previously been contained over there.

I watched this gay shit go from Reddit to the rest of the internet. For whatever reason, this idiocy that would've been laughed at on any other website became a movement over there. I suspect it's a combination of the high prevalence of Eurotrash and Canadian users - who don't share the United States's view of free speech - and subversion from enemies of western nations, that are responsible.

I think the United States users saw all of the dorks agreeing with it and went, "oh, this is what we Democrats are doing now?" They felt the peer pressure to conform. They went from being free speech absolutists to complete faggots. They didn't realize that these "Democrats" were Eurotrash and Canadian dorks who have nothing to do with us.

Remember that the rest of the world follows the lead of the United States and our media, hence our dumbasses falling for this shit on Reddit is why non-American countries have further indulged in it.

I joined Reddit in 2012 and, after having a comment of mine posted on R/ShitRedditSays, went, "what the fuck is this shit? Are these people serious?" I had never seen anybody on Twitter, youtube, or any other forum who actually believed any of this insanity.

By 2015, it was everywhere else on the internet. Then it reached all the boomers and older people who barely even used the internet. It reached television. It reached Donald Trump.

I also watched other obnoxious Reddit trends become ubiquitous. The SRS lingo, for example, bastardized the English language.

"Edgy" used to mean avant-guarde. Now it means "offensive."

I think that this actually originated from people not knowing that SRS users were being sarcastic when they accused "shitlords" (another of their coinages) of being "edgy" and "brave." They were mocking the idea that offensive humor is "edgy," and people mistakenly thought they were being sincere in their use of the adjective and that "edgy" was synonymous with "offensive."

I watched as irritating dipshits started calling everything "cringy" and "cringe." Cringe had never been anything other than a verb before, but thanks to R/Cringe, now it's any part of speech you want it to be. The Britfags invented "cringeworthy" in the 1970s as a comic book character, by the way. "Cringy" is not and will never be a valid word, unless you're referring to somebody who is doing the cringing. If I'm cringy, that means I am cringing...probably at some soy Reddit dork.

Of course, everything somebody doesn't like is "cringe"/"cringy" now.

Along the way, we had some contrived controversies to give us the current clown world:

In 2012, we had gamergate, where poor radfems were being literally raped by words.

In 2013, we had George Zimmerman getting rightly acquitted for defending himself against poor, innocent black child Trayvon Martin, who just couldn't help but double back to confront Zimmerman after Zimmerman called police after watching him walking on people's lawns and look in their windows, which isn't suspicious at all because you're waissis. He just couldn't help but break Zimmerman's nose and slam his head into the concrete. He dindu nuffin. Hence Black Lives Matter bullshit began.

In 2015, we had Brucelyn Jenner, who was stunning and brave.

Then we had "Mexico's not sending their best"...and the avatar of the resistance movement was created - a social liberal who said that Brucelyn Jenner could use whatever bathroom it wants in Trump Tower, which is insane. But he said some of these illegal aliens, errr, undocumented migrants, are rapists, therefore he's literally Hitler.

That's how we got here.

Of course, there was never a good time to be an ugly man, but the insufferable gaslighting you're receiving is only possible because of this shit. In any other era, Joe and Steve would just make fun of you for being a virgin and say you need to get a hooker. Now Cameron, Seth, Addison, and Aiden tell you you're a "toxic manbaby" and it's all because of your personality.

tl;dr: Reddit isn't just a joke of a website. It literally ruined the world.

You should refer to it as soyddit instead

Jews are the leadership unfortunately and shit flows down hill.

It all starts and ends with them.

Reddit soys didn’t become that way in a vacuum.

This all happened due to Jews malicious intent and their organizational long term planning.

thank you for this post. I am younger than you, I started using the internet actively in 2008 or so, so this is very interesting. I never used reddit until about two years ago, before that I only went on imageboards, Never had social media outside of whatsapp, which I barely use, only my mom and dad write like once every 3 months. Never had facebook, instagram etc. I did get into somethingawful for a little bit because I was curious about internet history. I did not know all the stuff you said though. I read that 4chan came out of SA turning to shit, it splintered off because they kept cracking down on the people that later formed 4chan by putting them in containment board and hyper censoring them to death.

Idk make more threads about the old internet and what it was like, I am interested, just tag me

I too remember the pre-2010 world like yesterday. Remember the show MAD TV? It was all about offensive jokes and being politically incorrect. I'm not even sure such a show would be allowed to exist now.

Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell secretly controlled Reddit for years. She was one of the moderators of r/worldnews. On this subreddit, it's impossible to criticize israel or jews.

:feelskek: :feelskek: :feelskek: :feelskek:

i'd say more broadly, social media ruined the world.

10/10 post. Reddit's impact on the cultural zeitgeist has been deeper, wider and more profound than most people realize. Most people I meet who are 23 to 38 talk like redditors in terms of their lingo and opinions. Younger than that and they're more tiktok-brained than reddit-brained. And older than that and they're more "normal".
In the 2000s, we were moving the opposite direction. We were moving the South Park (although now they're fags too) direction. "Offensive jokes are good. Eminem was right. Even racist jokes are good. Free speech. Fuck off."

Then they did a complete 180.
Yeah I remember in the early to mid 2000s, youth culture was very strongly anti-censorship. It was the boomers (though only a vocal minority of them) who were the puritanical, pearl-clutching, hysterical, and pro-censorship ones. They were the ones who pushed for the FCC to target radio stations for songs they played (especially targeting rap). They were the ones who wanted to censor video games and blamed "violent video games" for school shootings. And youth culture was united against this bullshit.

But then as you said, they did a 180. Now young people are 100 times more pro-censorship than even the most hysterical boomers from the 90s and 2000s. And Reddit played a very major role in this (Tumblr did as well).

I watched as irritating dipshits started calling everything "cringy" and "cringe." Cringe had never been anything other than a verb before, but thanks to R/Cringe, now it's any part of speech you want it to be. The impact of "cringe culture" is another thing that I think most people grossly underestimate. Gen z was very visibly impacted by this. All this ironybro, monotone, "nonchalant" shit was a direct reaction to cringe culture. Gen Z is mortified of being seen as "cringe".

The social landscape of gen z sounds like an absolute nightmare to navigate. You need to virtue signal to let your peers know you're woke, but you can't be too heavy-handed otherwise you'll come off as "performative" and you need to operate behind 20 "layers of irony" at all times and act like you're just "too cool" for everything and you're "above it all" all while avoiding looking like a "tryhard". I suppose if you're a zoomer you were raised in this culture so it all comes naturally to you, but as a 40 year old it looks like having to walk a very fine line while juggling and dodging bullets. But I still think even if I were born in like 2000, I still would have clashed with this culture. I'm just genetically too high testosterone, and too low inhib for this bullshit.

they're oversocialized herd mentality cucks and faggots. normshits will never question the status quo because they're naturally docile, feminine and submissive. I can't imagine going along with that shit either, although participating in society was never an option for me due to being deformed :feelshaha:

A big problem is that most modern AIs have reddit posts in their training data (which is, essentially, garbage information)

Society collapsed around 2013-14 thats when agecucking became truly obiquitous

I shall now remind everybody that Ghislaine Maxwell was a moderator on several popular subreddits pushing SJW slop.

And not to forget most of LLM models are trained or say scraped by reddit subs.
So AI is just soyddit pro msx

I thought that culture originated from tumblr first and then contaminated reddit later :waitwhat:

Chat jeetypt especially, so idiotic.

Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell secretly controlled Reddit for years. She was one of the moderators of r/worldnews. On this subreddit, it's impossible to criticize israel or jews.

I remember browsing r/TheRedPill before it was banned, it was somewhat based.

But yes, I very much dislike the redditspeak, it's extremely passive aggressive. Fuck them.

I FUCKING HATE REDDIT

I suspect it's a combination of the high prevalence of Eurotrash and Canadian users
Americuck trying to pretend that it's the europeans fault while we all know that all the woke and feminism bullshit comes directly from america :feelskek:

OP also somehow forgot that americans already elected a gay n*gger as their president in 2008 before reddit was popular, in Europe this never happened even today. Reddit is how it is because of americans.

You know you can deny the Holocaust over here...

We've also never had a female president.

Free speech is cool but I still think that they have more power in the US overall. Does not help that the US have the biggest jewish population in the world.
We've also never had a female president.
Same in my country. They are trying hard for that in the US tho with the dumb bitches Hillary and Kamala. :feelskek:

And let's not even get started with how annoying REDDIT was during COVID. "It's a NOVEL virus!! Yay for Fauci and other dedicated scientists!! STAY SAFE and wear your masks everyone!!" :soy: :soy: And how much Reddit hurt the world during Covid.

Although as a 40+ year old I do wonder how much of Reddit's soyness comes from millennials and Gen Z being helicopter parented and TAUGHT to be woke, politically correct soyboys and soygirls in school from kindergarten through college.

I feel like Reddit has influenced almost every other mainstream platform as similarly the majority of discord has fallen into the hands of libtard mods who foam at the mouth whenever anything politically incorrect is even suggested.

reddit is sissy / incel positive place. U lit have betas there who unironically be like "RELIGIONS BAD BRO, THEY IRRATIONAL & COPING (Which is true) yet on other side believe that NoFap is hArMfUL

You can't even go on r/pics anymore without daily war pictures and 'Israel bad' comments. Even mentioning Hamas will get your comment downvoted into nonexistence

No 1 reason I hate socializing with normies is their degenerate and retarted culture

i'd say more broadly, social media ruined the world.
this. reddit wasn't the only place to find cringy or gay shit online

This silly nigger doesn’t realize cultural Marxism began or rather was planned out in Europe then implemented in the US by the pointy hats.

I Dnrd but it’s cuz the original creator of Reddit was based and he “killed himself”

So they replaced him with a soyboy who changed reddit and made it all the neck beard heaven we know today

They complain about imperialism, while allowing genital mutilators and sodmites to run about while forcefully removing incel rights with foids as the ones kept 2nd only to jews in terms of power: they force this system onto the world.

Yeah, what became the concept of "White Guilt" began at the Frankfurt School.

Jews are the leadership unfortunately and shit flows down hill.

It all starts and ends with them.
They were already a problem in Europe in the 1920s and 30s, imagine now.

They were always accused of being the spreaders of cultural degradation, and in the end, those accusations turned out to be true.

Reddit normies piss me off so much

Reddit is just a tool.

This. It all traces back to them wanting to control and destroy western culture and society.

The heavier the moderation on that particular platform, the worse it is. Reddit is one of the worst platforms out there, if not the absolute worst.

this site used to be a subreddit

Normies have no soul.

Yh I think it helped popularise an echo chamber format
