While getting blood tests done to prepare for chemotherapy last year, I learned that I have really low testosterone (which is not related to my cancer but it showed up on a test). The doctor actually recommended that I consider going on HRT after I'm done with cancer treatments, apparently you can transition from male to male.
The average male in his thirties has somewhere around 616 ng/dL. The average male in his eighties has approximately 376 ng/dL. I am 31 and I have 280 ng/dL; thus it has been scientifically proven that for me it never even began.
At the same time, I learned from a CT scan that I have a condition called gynecomastia, in which hormone imbalances cause me to develop breast tissue even though I am a male. I have always been embarrassed by my puffy nipples because I thought it meant I was fat but now I'm even more embarrased because I know it actually means I have boobs. I have not been to a swimming pool since 2008 because of this. This condition is probably related to my low T.
