How much did "Fullmetal Alchemist" suck (2003 or the Brotherhood new stuff)?
2003 was a good time for me, I was a youngcel who was incredibly optimistic about life - I still hated boring-ass Fullmetal Alchemist. I would have fun watching Inuyasha, then boring-ass Fullmetal Alchemist would come on.
That was 22 years ago, my Mammon, I remember it like it was yesterday. The National Hockey League draft in '03 was insane. Nickleback was cool. The Invasion of Iraq had just begun (event though the highjackers were Saudi). Hummers were just making a comeback. It was a wonderful time.
Yes... as soon as Barack Obama came into the picture everything went to hell. People talk badly about George H.W. Bush, but Oblamo fucked the country up to the point it is now, Biden gave the knockout blow to the middle-class.
Those clips were awful, I watched most of the 2003 episodes when I was in middle school and high school.

The only reason I watched Foidmetal Alchemist, was because on the American network it aired on, it was strategically placed in between the popular shows Inuyasha, and Fooley Cooley.
If you think fma sucked you're a newfag. Anime has been shit since 2012 i can't name 3 good anime that came out after 2013
I mean, it's one of the best "overall" shows. There's hardly anything to critique it for it, woman author or not

Bleach was better than Foidmetal Alchemist.
There are other reasons, such as the feminity of the male characters. That are common in shows made by women.
I enjoyed it quite a bit, maybe you enjoy more fast paced animes? There's a show called Magi the kingdom of magic, that i enjoyed quite a bit. It was made by a woman as well. But you may not like it due to the pacing
FMA Brotherhood is clearly superior to the 2003 one. I enjoyed both.

2003 version: I didn't like too much, the story was pretty confusing. The song "Brothers" was amazing tho. I like that this version was more creepy, i remember the butcher episode got me scared a lot, like FMAB never could.
Brotherhood: I liked the story more it was way better to understand, but only annoying thing is that it uses too much the "funny meme faces" thing, that mostly gave cringe and killed the creepy part of the anime that the 2003 version had. Had very nice fights and music. This is one of my favorite anime.

Brotherhood: I liked the story more it was way better to understand, but only annoying thing is that it uses too much the "funny meme faces" thing, that mostly gave cringe and killed the creepy part of the anime that the 2003 version had. Had very nice fights and music. This is one of my favorite anime.

The 2003 slop was some of the most boring anime I have ever seen, especially an anime that was broadcasted on an American television network, because Americans love violence and seeing physical combat. FMA could not compete with for example YuYu Hakasho.

This show made me cry long back in the high school, both version are still as good in my book. Especially comparing to other shonens I've watched, like Giass, Blue Exorcist or Fairy Tail
