Has anyone else watched north korean movies? Last year i would get high and watch them, it was a good cope and cured depression for a few months.

There are a few big playlists on youtube, many of these movies deal with themes of love and community just as a warning. I really enjoyed most of them but it could have been the weed doing the heavy lifting. The movies 100% had their intended effect on me, it humanized the norks and i have a higher opinion of the regime now. Which is a testament to their skill, the technology isn't there but I enjoy the storytelling nonetheless (there are a few that are extremely boring). These motherfuckers will make a movie out of anything, there is a movie about picking apples.

a few more for any curious cells, they made a version of godzilla but I haven't found a good version on youtube. From what I understand the 80s were the golden age of their cinema, Kim jun Il was a film buff but his son doesn't have the same passion, so the film releases have slowed down since the famine in the 90s.
