Venting How many here have one or more dickhead parents?

A bit about my dad:

My dad’s in my life, but he’s a typical curry parent but even worse. In my childhood up until my teen years, he would intentionally try to provoke me into talking back to him so he’d have an excuse to hit me; he’d do this to cope with his anger over something unrelated, or sometimes just out of boredom. He’s also employed typical curry parent helicopter tactics throughout my life which have left me undersocialized and exacerbated my already existing non-NTness.

PoS also acts like a senile old baboon despite being only 56. He frequently yells nonsense or literal gibberish at the top of his lungs for no reason at all, I legit have no clue why he does this. He frequently repeats the same sounds over and over again too, and also blasts repetitive jeetnigger mantras (4 lines repeated in a droning bud-bud-ding-ding poocel oldcel voice) so loud that I can hear them all the way from my room, behind a closed door, while he’s downstairs. He knows I have OCD and HATE sudden loud noises, as well as repetitive noises – it’s legit torturous to me – yet he doesn’t give a flying fuck.

I’m not even getting into all of the shit he’s done, btw. I don’t want to

Damn it sounds brutal to be brokenhomecels, particularly if your financial situation isn’t great. My dad sucks, but I’m at least glad he provided financial stability in my upbringing

It was very hard for me to grow up without a father's presence, especially when my mother's behavior is so chaotic. I think it's a very damaging thing for someone to grow up without an adequate male role model.

And yeah, since he didn't provide anything at all, it made things harder.
