Men are designed to protect women. We used to have actual threats to protect them from. There were marauders from attacking tribes. Wild animals. Enemies even within our tribes. Now those threats are gone. But the impulse men feel to protect and women feel to be protected remains. So white knights and women have for generations been inventing fake threats and over-reacting to them to feed their biological impulses to protect and be protected.
Fundamentally it's evolutionary biology run amok.
As an example, men are far more likely to die from violent crime, workplace accidents, and suicide. If a man and woman are walking alone at night, the man actually has a higher chance of being killed. Yet if you believe feminists and all their hysteria, you'd believe the opposite. eg. Most universities offer chaperones for women walking at night because of the perceived threat to them.
In Germany, "women only parking lots" have been designed to protect women, even though: "according to federal criminal statistics published by the German police, molestation and attacks on women occur no more often in parking garages than in other places. In Hesse, in 2003, only one of 1000 crimes in parking garages was sexual in nature."
This is a perfect example of a completely irrational protection which is not based on any evidence or logic, but rather men's intrinsic desire protect women and women's desire to be protected.
Another example would be the Nordic model of prostitution, which has now overtaken much of Europe and recently Canada. In this law, prostitutes are blameless and above the law, even though prostitution is illegal. Only the men can be punished for participation in prostitution. Thus women can freely perform illegal activities without any punishment.
Another example would be the American definition of rape, which states that because only the person who penetrates another can be a rapist, if a drunk man and drunk woman have sex, neither can consent to the sex, but only the man is guilty of a crime, and is automatically guilt of rape. This is totally irrational of course, as a man could be passed out drunk with an erection, yet a woman mounts him, and suddenly he is an unconscious rapist, while she has committed no fault.
Bottom line: Women are protected plenty already. They live longer than men, have higher educations, have more romantic prospects, and are less likely to die from crime, accidents, or suicides. They get shorter jail sentences and have total impugnity from certain crimes men are punished harshly for. They don't need any further special protection. The biological urge that drives white knights is outdated and no longer required. If any gender needs help or attention in this current world, it's men, not women.
