Mine goes back to my Great-Great Grandfather. Dated at 1920s, which is the furthest I can go due to the state of post slavery records.

Anyway. My dad was 1/6 and the only male. He then had 2 sons, my brother and I, but unfortunately both of us are Incel. Never seen my brother bring a girl over, and he's nearing 30.

Imagine that. An entire dynasty killed off because of women's massive egos.

I don’t know tbh

I have pretty much half an entire village in my home country with the same surname as me.

What's wrong with post slavery records?

I can't find any census record for my Great-Great-Great Grandfather, I'm assuming that the census didn't go far that back unless you were on top of your ish.

My last name is anglicized, I'm not related to most people with that name. Who knows how far back the name it was anglicized from goes in the old country, it's a medium popular family name there.

My mother's name goes back to at least the 1800s from legal documents we found detailing immigration

My father's name has been anglicized from it's original language but that's all I know about it sadly.

At latest, the 1600s. It’s depressing knowing my bloodline ends with me, unless my sister gets married and keeps her last name.

My only surname is literally one of the most common surnames in my country.

JFL at having no identity.

I don't know but I know it ends here

I never even saw a pic of my grandfather kek.

no idea tbh, never looked into it, but I at least know that my chad cousins will perpetuate it for a while

No idea bro, probably very far.

My grandparents decided to give my dad a different last name than them, so it goes back a massive one generation

no idea, i do however know that my moms dad is 6'5 but im 5'3 jfl at this clown world

Pretty far in the UK

I have no idea tbh

How can i learn that?

First time that my surname appeared in the records was around 1375.

When I die I'll literally be cutting out about 3 generations on my dads side. My uncle was disabled and had no kids and I'm an only child. Sad part is my grandad gave me a solid gold coin from the 1920's to pass on to my kids. I tried to tell him I didn't want it and that he should keep it because I honestly felt sad that I wouldn't be able to do what he wants but he insisted. It's a nice trinket though.

My surname goes to 1900s because we hadnt surnames before that but I can track my family - tribe back to 1500s due to fact that they were nomads and Ottomans recorded nomad tribes, clans in the country
How can i learn that?

5000 years as long as the cast system

Actually not long. Just to my grand dad, his last name was changed. Never came to learn about the reason why, and the only person who knew, my grand mom, already died.
Probably some serial killer shit that my great grand dad did. All I know is that my great grand ma was a seriously disturbed person. Very hateful and evil.

I’d rather not know.

i honestly dont know
i just know that my last name is the most usual in eastern germany
