It ultimately depends on your social circle. Afaik most girls in my social circle don't use Online Dating or social media that much. These are not my friends tho, it's just a big network I have with lots of people from different parts of Europe. And how do I know this? their boyfriends are 5-6/10 and occasionally 7/10. Most of them are STEM grads. And I'm fairly confident that if I was a 6/10 guy facially then I wouldn't be an Incel that's for sure.
But like I said, it depends on your social circle. If your social circle is full of Rich wallstreet fags and business majors like @PPEcel then a 6/10 would get nothing.

if you don't have friends, that means you count on strangers inviting you to their table

but a truly average guy nowadays won't get anything from that, what he'll do is get status and save money, wait until he's 30 or older and can now be matched with unwanted women in their 30s.

Most people have exactly this problem of not being able to find new social circles, so what they tend to do is to default to their "work friends", who then become their new and updated social circle.
