My mom bought me a grapefruit instead of an orange. I've never eaten grapefruit in my life. How do eat this thing??? What is it like???

I cut mine into quarters and from there I peel the edible part off from the skin and pick out any seeds.
I have to eat one of these a week due to the fact that I bought a large supply of rapamycin which turned out to be low quality (grapefruit increases the potency of rapamycin).
While I like most fruit, I don't really like grapefruit, as others said, they're pretty bitter. Coincidentally, I just so happen to be eating one in a few minutes as I'm due on a rapamycin dose. I'll see if using a bit of xylitol will make it more palatable.
