Whenever normgroids speak it is about their sexual interest or something mundane or political, I can't converse with people who I have 0 commonality with. Often these normgroid rants turn into attempts to extend their ego or impose a sexual hierarchy onto you because they realize you aren't a sexhaver.

Do you just shut them down by never letting the conversation reach to that point? I feel like normgroids can only understand ego and sexual value. Socialization with normgroids feels like slamming your head against a wall repeatedly.

Why should they sympathize with you when they can get more out of conversation with you through projecting their ego? Normgroids have never felt celibacy, not having a common ground in sexual value with them means that in conversation they will try to humiliate you for their gain. They cannot relate to you and thus also realize they cannot converse with you. It is an unfortunate social hierarchy.
