It is easy to explain. An ugly dude with a gf is always an eye catcher. Most ppl will recognise it and then say "see, he has a gf".
Ugly dudes without a gf are invisible. Just go out and dont look for an ugly dude with a gf, try to see all the average and below looking dudes without girls. Those unattractive men without a gf are the majority.
In short, it is nothing but cherry picking.

Their definition of "ugly" is skewed because foids rate 80% of guys as "below average", so when they see "ugly" guys in relationships those guys are actually average.
Outliers here and there don't mean anything. Sometimes women have to go for the guys they can get, but they would still prefer to be fucked by a Chad. Also, those guys are extremely likely neurotypical. If you are awkward and ugly, NO WOMEN LIKE YOU.
