How do people get IP banned from Reddit? I’ve been getting perma banned for so many years and they can’t seem get rid of me

If I still had my first Reddit account from when I was a young teen, I would easily have 300k+ karma by now. Once I bypass a Reddit perma ban, I don’t get banned again until I accidentally break the rules again. I’ve easily been banned 10+ times over the years. My current Reddit account is actually almost a year old.

I got ip banned. I cant create new accounts without them getting struck down within 24 hours

My assumption is that is that they never clear their cookies (I use Incognito Mode for all browsing, so that helps), or use the Reddit mobile app, which tracks you. I also use ProtonVPN (You can download it for free), when creating a new account, which covers my tracks somewhat.

Evading a ban on Reddit is not difficult in the slightest. You just need to be vaguely competent.

It used to be fairly easy but since late 2024 they started implementing device fingerprinting and a whole sleuth of other methods. I would be more careful now, especially with their fucking AI nuking accounts left and right

Believe it or not, but I somehow got banned from reddit, and I have never even had an account there.

Every time I try to open some reddit link I get the message that my IP or something has been blocked. jfl
