If you use cans with active noise cancellation, then you don't have to put them too loud. You don't want to give yourself tinnitus.

I'm just using over ear headphones but I don't use ANC it feels uncomfortable idk how to explain it

When you first use anc it can feel weird, but you should get used to it pretty quick. I couldn't imagine using earphones, without that feature now.

It also depends on headphones, headphones I have now make me uncomfortable in ANC but m my previous headphones were fine

I suppose. I've stuck to the Sony WF/WH series, and never had an issue. What are you using?

I'm using rn moondrop edge. Before I used CMF headphones pro and they were better for me. Might buy them again
