I guess WW1 was the real last war you'd be slightly interested in since they still prioritized bayonet training... I guess WW2 too if you focus on the Japanese but I don't think swords and bayonets are seen as similar in your case.

I'm an enthusiast of everything before modern cucked times. Bayonets are based, I think they should be on every rifle, even when we have plasma rifles and shit. In WW2, during the second Sino-Japanese War, there was an incident in which Chinese soldier used dadao swords against the Japanese. There are manuals from this period showing how to use a dadao against a bayonet.
