Because then they can get into investment banking, actuary or sheit like that and moneymog the rest of mortals You study a science degree and end up working in something business related because it gives more money than being a scientist.

Math is highly useful but barely understood. Last time I checked, most people uninterested in it can't even tell the difference between applied math and pure math. It's a shame schools ruined math for everyone.
