This is the wrong way to look at things. Western cultural norms before the 1960s were not only eugenic but also greatly reduced negative-sum intrasexual competition (mogging). In a society that practices absolute monogamy, the adversarial reproduction strategies of both genders are controlled (powerful men are limited to one woman, while women do not have the ability to cuck you). Of course, this is not a solution to Inceldom. We don't know how many of those were shotgun marriages where the husband may or may not have been the actual father, we don't know how many of those kids were born after the wife cuckolded the husband (which is something we don't know even in our era and which governments are expressly trying to keep under wraps), we don't know how many infants were killed after birth, and so on. The only thing we can infer from this is that, at least in England for a few hundred years after the middle ages, 90%+ of women had husbands who they could claim as the fathers of their children.
