Those who don’t know, both got humiliating deaths in the finale.
My reasons for thinking so:
Homelander is stupid and way too insecure to think straight and understand that:

1. The possible existence of an ability that can depower him should be taken with the utmost seriousness.
2. Just because you’re the most powerful person on the planet doesn’t make you God.

Deep is absolutely one-dimensional and immature. He can’t process the depth of situations because he was brought up extremely privileged and never had to experience any real downs in life.
