You want to do your part to speed up climate change? Believe it or not nothing compares to having kids that will consume many resources over a lifetime but obviously that isn't within incel's reach. So the course of action is to eat a lot of red meat (no lab grown shit that cuts down on carbon and methane emissions) and drive long distance roadtrips in gasoline vehicles and idle a lot in traffic during regular drives.

That same society wants to micromanage the climate to cover its failures. Just like with overpopulation and exhausting of earth's resources to support the population they'd rather dream of going to space to mine new resources as a quick fix than addressing underlying issues. It helps society as long as the geoengineering is sustained. If it isn't then rapid warming occurs after a few years that is too quick for most species to keep up with and they die.
