Hitting charity shops, London charity shops seem more expensive then buying clothes new

Waste of time going to charity shops? Clothes are ridiculously expensive but I like to see what deal I can get regardless and something different although it’s hard to get clothes in my size xxl got a top that was £14 but with the half price sale it was £7… and they call it charity, wondering if I should just stick to cheap Primark T-shirts for like £2, £1.50 and £3. There’s too much greed.

Having a look can't hurt.

Yea at least if I get a good deal on something it’s better quality than fast fashion, also gives me something to occupy my neet time.

I dont know what kind of charity You re going into. I went to few secondhand stores and managed to get few tshirts, some sweatpants and a nice winter jacket for like 5€. Like, its not someting I'd take to job interview, but for everyday surviving its enough.

They’re probably being bought up by pajeets and resold for higher prices.

My area in London the charity shops are pretty pricy but they do have deals on here and there and you can get an odd item at a decent price, I’m probably not committing enough of my time to scouring the high street for some good finds, I think I’d prefer something second hand that no one else is wearing and good quality that I’d throw in my washing machine and dryer then some crap from a cheap shop and I wouldn’t pay too much by going to these more expensive stores unless there was one or two particular items I really liked but I still wouldn’t go over £20 or £30 but have to start going back to my money savvy style and look for good deals… why pay more when you can pay less? And no one gives a shit about what I look like anyway due to me fat size so no point getting expensive clothes

Yea these resellers ruin it for everyone, I follow a foid on YouTube who makes a living from it and drives a fancy car and she shares all the good charity shops around certain areas and will just ruin it for locals because everything will be selling… these influencer types ruin it for everyone, also these workers get first dibs and anything of any real value doesn’t even go on the shop floor it gets sold online.

I don’t even remember the last time I bought clothes. I just recycle the same few outfits I have. I have no one to impress
