looking at some history ive noticed a pattern: all the successful coups involved backing from the military and law enforcement. what gives people power is militia. militia is the power itself. if the militia for some reason, gets convinced to not follow the orders of the politician who is to stop them? so to answer the question, all movements that performed a successful coup was friends with the law enforcement and the military, with a clear agenda set in mind.
