Sauna as well as cryotherapy has benefits of neurogenesis, mitochondria generation, and longevity. However, unable to find any resources that proposes a routine using both.

Combining hot and cold therapies maybe best bang for one's time. Though I couldn't find any significant resources on using contrast therapy, the very idea of dropping body temperature from from high to very low seems dangerous. It may be interesting to know how chemistry changes at cellular level when temperature changes from very high to very low.
