If you have a multi-ethnic, sectarian country, then a dictatorship is objectively preferable because it will help maintain social order

Democracy, on the contrary, is better for a homogenous and inherently peaceable society, because it will help cultivate their culture

And dictators can VERY easily be corrupt -- it's just that there tend to be less domestic interests dictatorships need to appease than in a democracy, since dictators can simply use the power of the state to coerce those who disagree with them

I always thought like this. A totalitarian socialist uniform society is 10000000000000x better than any capitalist democratic one. Places like Yugoslavia, East Germany and USSR were great examples of it. On the surface Western democracies had higher GDPs and "higher" standards of living than those countries, but the average man had 100x better life there.

I would go so far as to say that Lee Kuan Yew is the model statesman after whom every aspiring leader of a nation should emulate.
