I've been told it's a sort of delicacy in some parts of the world. I cannot see any of the appeal, it is absurdly expensive, looks quite unappetizing and seems out of reach for me.

It was years ago so i don't remember much but i do remember it was buttery didn't taste anything special tho

Yes, but only "cheap" caviar which is basically condensed sardines.

Good caviar might be better but I'll never know.

Once but it wasn't the black kind those were crazy expensive I think it was like Salmon red cavair. It had a strange texture like you're eating little waterbaloons but they didn't taste fishy just salty.
