Have you guys lied when asked if you have job experience during applications?

I've been applying to a couple of retail and fast food jobs, but I never get a response. I wonder if it's because I put that I have 0 past job experience. I don't know what I could put there though, if I lie and put a false one do they research the place? I dunno what to do
