Have you guys ever had a positive interaction with a girl your age?

I honestly can’t recall a single time that this has happened.

I’ve had pleasant interactions with women 40+ (maybe I remind them of their shut-in kids) but girls my age have always, consistently been put off by my presence. They’re never receptive; no smiles, no pleasantries, one word replies... I think what bothers me the most is that I notice that they NEVER look at me directly, like they can’t even stand to be face-to-face.

And with that gloriously negative reception there’s still people that are like “just put yourself out there”, when I’m rejected from the get-go.

Yeah, engaging with no one saves a lot of time for me, but when I’m suddenly plunged into talking to a girl my age, it’s hard not to be negative when she treats you like an intrusive street vendor.

Nope. Females only speak to me because they are essentially forced to, I eat with them at lunch because they are friends with a chad I talk to. I used to think this one girl genuinely enjoyed my presence, because it was smiles and all when we talked to each other. That is, up until I said “Hey” to her in the hallway and all she could muster up was an annoyed glance. I fucking hate myself.

Twice. Both times were with girls that had a genuine "heart of gold" and were nice to everyone (still no sex tho). First one was in a group project as a college freshman, me and her were assigned into a group with each other and met at campus several times to work on the project. She was extremely nice and forgiving of my obvious extreme social anxiety and 2/10 looks. It was platonic tho cause she was like that with everyone and had a chad bf.

Second time was with a girl in second year college, on a field trip (geology). Me and her were assigned a cliffface to sketch and while sketching it and labeling features etc it started raining torrentially. We sough shelter in a small cave under the cliff and talked for about 1 hour till the rain had gone, very positive but entirely platonic interaction. Once again the girl was genuinely nice to everyone and had a bf.

another thing I'll add is that aside from those two interactions I get treated like utter dogshit by young women, probably even worse than what you've described. Female cashiers usually refuse to make eye contact even.

You don’t get a general sense that young girls are more annoyed or negative towards your presence? Don’t get me wrong, guys tend to be more polite but also more vicious. Then again, women barely give me a chance to do anything more than interact casually with them, so at least men don’t immediately shut me down.
