Honestly this punishment is always in all shows and cartoons but seems too cruel to be enforced in real life, denying a child of food seems evil kek. Punished without your favorite food or dessert seems more reasonable but punished without dinner and going to bed hungry is too much. At least in first world countries if it's the third world and food is scarce maybe it's different, or even worse risking malnourishment. If your parents ever did that shit to you I'm sorry bruh.

Not sure. I was punished once by holding a weight above my head, arms fully outstretched. Can't remember for how long, but was rather painful. Proper African punishment.
