You know, receiving stimuli only from the external environment, but being unable to reason or plan....is this related to inceldom/depression or plain stupidity/low IQ ?

Yes.

Sometimes it also ties into sleep deprivation.

I walk and sometimes when I walk I stop thinking. Scary shit, man.

It surely does tie to many poor lifestyle choices, but in my case it is constant. I have to re evaluate each and every life choice I made, since if I am to be like that, I should give up my studies. White collar job having perpetual brain fog? The thought of me having to get such a job gives me nightmares....

I call these "White Times". Emptiness. No thinking, no escape, no media, no distractions. I only eat, sleep and buy food. Sometimes it lasts for days. I wear white clothes and I don't speak to anyone. I don't answer the phone or mail.

I think it's due to severe depression. Your brain tries to survive against your will, even if this implies powering off the whole brain. He goes in automatic mode.

Not linked to low IQ or stupidity. I'm an Aspie. It happened much more after I saw the LeftOvers series on OCS. In the series, the Guilty Remnants are like this.

Soymonk, thanks for the suggestion! I do not consume porn in a regular basis though...I was wondering if chronic depression is playing a role on it

Man....elated to hear that. I was diagnosed 4 times with comorbid OCD and MDD. Sometimes I wonder if the "OCD" part was misdiagnosed autism, since all of my obsessions before my early teens were ego-syntonic. I remember for example getting obsessed with strings of information, like different types of street lamps. Collecting "captions" and organizing them by virtue of color, shape etc. The interest pattern was always like this.

WDYM receiving stimuli only from the external environment. Isn't stimuli not perse an external thing?

Yeah, mine started recently and I don't know if I induced it or if it's just a bunch of coincidences. I'm hopeless either way. At least, no more intrusive thoughts.
As far as I know, there are many reasons for it, the ones I remember are ;
Allergies, biochemical problems, atlas misalignment, autoimmune diseases, infections, reduced blood flow, brain damage (frontal-temporal damage leading to impaired wernicke's and broca's area) and even brain tumor. Psychosis seems to cause it too (there's a depersonalization-derealization disorder also, but I don't know much about it and I'm a skeptic so I'll consider it as a form of brain damage).
There's a meme on 4chan saying that most people are NPCs because they lack internal monologue, although I agree that most people are NPCs, there's actually no proof that most people have impaired internal monologue, quite the opposite actually (it's 20~25% of population that doesn't have it, and many people actually have brain damage so no surprise) but this isn't all that bad, I think it's affects on pattern recognition is negligible (your brain still memorize things for example, even though it doesn't sound like it because you no longer hear the registering of the memories).
