If you are from any EE country today is basically a leftover communist holiday where all day it is centered around strong independent women bitching about patriarchy and you are supposed to congratulate them and buy them all kind of gifts just for existing.
In EE we don't celebrate something good natured and noble like mothers day but a radical feminist day first started by Jewish anarchist misandrists at beginning of 20th century in New York which later on got propped up by Soviet Union for propaganda purposes (and what a coincidence that Clara Zetkin picked a date that crosses over with Purim)! Of course all the "based" trad and Christian EE men have no problem with background of such a "holiday", so happy simp day everyone!
