Serious Growing up “small”

Did anyone else grow up small during their childhood/teenage years? I remember one of my uncles went from being the shortest kid in class to being a surprising 6’2. Funny thing is he was actually a pretty early bloomer and could already grow a full beard at 16. I hope for the same thing, cause I would instantly kill myself if I turn out shorter than my dad.

Yeah, as a grade schooler people weren't cruel to me for being short, though. And I didn't mind being short, because this was grade school. But for some reason the kids I played with were all "Don't worry, you're gonna grow tall, do you know how many super tall people were late bloomers?" And I was like "Thank you. But I'm in no hurry."

Now I'm... not in grade school anymore. I guess I should've hurried.

I grew up small and remained small today. You get most of your height in your teen years. If you remain short then. there is no hope to get taller.

I had a similar experience: Always one of the shortest throughout child and teenage years (most girls were taller than me) then around 16 I began exploding in height, and by 21 the rest was history. Aside from that, we all know face is more important than height; speaking of face, another phenomenon is people who grew up ugly but then had magical puberties and became handsome. This is very rare, but I have seen it happen.

I forgot to point out that my uncle did not shoot up to 6’2 during puberty. He literally grew 6 inches as an adult. Idk what the fuck happened but IMO if you hit a growth spurt that big when you are in tanner stage 5 you are lucky as hell.
