*at some point in his teens (13-19) or tweens (20-26) Grover befriends lawyer Oscar Folsom
*Frances born 1864 to Oscar and his wife Emma when Grover is 27 years old. Oscar introduces Grover to baby, and Grover buys a baby carriage
*1871 Grover becomes Sheriff (he is 34 years old, Frances is 7 years old)
*1875 Oscar dies in carriage accident when daughter Frances is 11 years old and Grover is 38 years old. Oscar is appointed administrator of estate instead of Emma (based)
*1882 Grover becomes Mayor (he is 45 years old, Frances is 18)
*1883 Grover becomes Governor (he is 46, Frances is 19)
*March 1885 Grover becomes President
*August 1885 when Grover is 48 years old and Frances is 21 years old, Grover sends her a letter (she is in college) proposing marriage
*June 1886 (Grover 49 / Frances 22) they get married in the White House (kept engagement secret until 5 days prior)

I'm not sure whether this guy was a cuck or a genius. On one hand, Frances might've been fucking loads of guys in late teens / early twenties before settling down with him at 22, but on the other hand, her notch-count was probably way lower than modern women since she attended Wells College, which was a women-only college from 1868 to 2004 and because back then, they probably had nannies trying to minimize how many boys they fucked on the side. By getting engaged before she graduated, Grover was minimizing the chances of her fucking Chads.
We should also keep in mind (thanks to Family Guy for pointing this out) how Grover had basically been present as a male figure for her to be romantically infatuated with since her birth. We should keep in mind that during those formative years he wasn't as much of a fatty, and probably would've been good-looking enough to not repulse her:

It's hard to imaging the patience of waiting until you're 49 to land a waifu. My guess is he probably wasn't a virgin until then. More than likely since he had been sheriff/mayor/governor he was just fucking whores, cucking other guys w/ their wives, or having non-married trysts. I'd be coping to think he was a virgin incel for a quarter-century until consummating his marriage with Frances, just as I'd be coping to think Frances was a guaranteed virgin at 22...
