In It Follows an STD is being spread which causes some weird demon to slowly follow the current person in possession of it until it catches them and then kills them brutally.
From the cinematography perspective, it creates a sense of uncanny valley by having an uncertain time setting (in some scenes it looks like it’s set in the 1970s and in other scenes it looks like it’s set right now despite following only one plot. This creates a weird feeling like something is off anyway).
But the movie is brutally blackpilled without intending to be.
Girl fucks Chad who has the demon and only wants to pump and dump her so that he can get it to stop following him.
Girl and her sister have simp best friend who’s infatuated with main girl but her and the sister are not interested in him.
Even when she realised that she’ll die if she doesn’t fuck a man and pass it to him she STILL won’t have sex with her simp.
She finally has sex with her HTN/Chadlite Hispanic or Injun neighbor.
He doesn’t manage to pass it on (unlike Chad who just met her, fucked her and forgot about her in one night) and gets killed.
Her, her sister and the simp try to kill the demon rather than her simply fucking him to get rid of it.
Eventually she reluctantly fucks the simp- not enjoying it at all- and because he can’t find any woman to pass it on to (her and her sister aren’t willing to pass it back and forth with him as would be the logical thing to do) he passes it to a random prostitute.
The simp is very pleased with himself that he’s managed to be allowed to fuck his oneitis once even though she only fucked him to transfer an importunate demon to him.
That movie was brutal. I thought Chronicle was brutal because Andrew DetmER basically has the childhood we all had (well, without superpowers) but holy fuck It Follows is even more brutal. The difference is that I don’t think It Follows INTENDED to be blackpilled. It was unintentionally one of the best movies I’ve seen for this but I don’t think that was its intention.
When I’m in LDAR mode, Chronicle and It Follows are my favorite goyslops to briefly distract me from my worthless existence. They are brutal.
