Its a temporary position that pays 28K with full benefits, but I'm grateful to finally leave this form of solitary confinement.

Luckily this position came at the right time because I was starting to run out of graduation money.

5 Months a NEET, holy fucking shit it was horrible.

Thank you to everyone here, you guys were really uplifting about this entire situation and I honestly think the banter here, combined with my strengthened faith saved me from going off the deep end.

Thanks bro, I hope to use this position as a springboard for a possible military commission, I applied earlier this year but was a non-select, so I'm going to reapply in October after retaking the Officer Tests last week and getting a higher score.

I know women are out of the question, but I just want to workcel so I can cope in my free time without worry

Nah, I've heard horror stories about enlisted life, At least as an officer you get some semblance of freedom and respect, +benefits, plus officer housing is pretty cheap, so you can save a lot of money on the back end

Yeah. It is kind of shit until you get some stripes. That's part of the reason i didn't go in because i was probably going to spend the next 5-10 years getting shit on until i could become a more senior NCO. That and i realised i was going to be doing at least 4 or 5 combat tours in Afghanistan and that our so called leaders had no fucking idea what they were doing.
