Daniel 4 KJV
34 And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation:
35 And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?
36 At the same time my reason returned unto me; and for the glory of my kingdom, mine honour and brightness returned unto me; and my counsellors and my lords sought unto me; and I was established in my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added unto me.
37 Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.
Even the mighty king Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, one of the greatest empires to ever exist, gave glory to God after God made him lose his good senses and spend 7 years living as a humiliated animal in the wilderness.
Job, the most righteous man of his time, also gave glory to God when huge misfortunes hit him.
In this life and world corrupted by sin we suffer. But you'll only suffer more and more, culminating in eternal damnation, if you keep questioning and cursing at The Most High.
God died for you in the cross. Accept it. Trust Him. Be humble. If you suffer more than average, maybe this is just an oppotunity for you to get more rewards than average in heaven. Imagine the reward of a man who still gives glory to God after huge misfortune.
This life here is nothing compared to eternity. It's just a brief test.
God doesn't need us for anything, like aforementioned in verse 35, but He still cares about us and gives us those opportunities. I thank God for all I have and trust Him that even my misfortunes will work for the best in the end!
