That's pretty much the opposite of my experience. I see a lot of women at work, and I feel like they're pretty much always up to something cool. Same with at uni: they were often doing projects or something together, whereas I felt too awkward around people to have too much of a group, so I tend to keep to myself in my non-work hours.

I feel like women are afraid to seem weird or something, so they try to make themselves as neutral as possible. Like on a dating app, saying you're into food and traveling. Who could disagree with that? It's like guys that describe themselves as "laid back." It's impossible to outright dislike it, so people say it to attract the largest number of people.
