I do not believe that. If you have ever worked with Chat-GPT or an Ai image program, you know how extremely powerful these systems are. A query on Chat-GPT requires 6 times the amount of electricity than a normal Google search query. So there is definitely a lot more computing power behind it. Who would have thought this was possible 10 years ago? This is absolutely real. And we are currently in the midst of a technological leap. In 10 years, as I already said, the capabilities of today's AI will be viewed in retrospect like the capabilities of a Commodore 64. In 2003, Morrowind was the best there was. Where are we today? YouTube didn't exist yet.

I don't think so. Because the robot in the video didn't really listen at all and kept talking even though the human wanted to say something. And if you've ever worked with Chat-GPT, you know that AI can now formulate complex texts based on your input in a fraction of a second. AI can also speak and sing. So what the robot does is well within the realm of today's possibilities and doesn't even require a great deal of computing power. Of course, the server that processes all of this is located somewhere else and isn't yet included in the robot itself. But that's only because of the power requirements.
I think we'll get pretty decent VR/Mixed reality avatars by that time, but 5-10 years for irl robots that are somewhat passable seems too optimistic. It all depends on whether we get AGI any time soon.
Also, optimus is being teleoperated, it's actually some dude talking and controlling its body. Conversational AI like gpt4o is pretty good and could've had that same conversation, though.
