I include Zillennials, who are closely aligned with GenZ, because they grew up in an era of pre-widespread Iphone/social media adoption, and got to witness the transition.

I got to witness it in college where girls wouldn't stop looking down at their phones, and I knew of a foid who walked head on into a bus because of it. I was cynical back then and ND, which is why nobody really liked me anyway.

This generation would have had witnessed the transition sometime in HS, so I conclude that the earliest year to be classified as a Zillennial is 1992, as 2010 would have been the time when the Iphone 4 was widely adopted by foids, so seniors (b. 1992) would have observed this civilization ending transformation that would be a shit smeared crackhouse come college or trade school/adultsuifuel.

I witnessed it in HS (b. 1996) and I hated it. I hated Instagram, I hated FB; all the girls posting nudes on myspace and tumbler.

We had a class whore and every simp would buy her nudes, those were the caveman days.

It's over.

I know for some the Internet and AI is your escape, but I kind of wish for an EMP that destroys all consumer electronics for several decades.

In my opinion the problem has less to do with technology itself and more to do with how we use it. It's a lot like AI in this regard: we can use AI to make everyone more productive, or we can use AI to replace everyone and leave people homeless.

Since the rise of technology, we've had social media become really popular. I think that if you are a normie, social media is really good because it helps you stay connected with friends and meet new people. However, if you don't have a social circle then social media has literally no practical benefit. So many people doomscroll X and reddit and insta all day to dopaminemaxx. And there are even worse habits that technology has developed, like porn and OnlyWhores.

But all of this is how we treat social media, not how it could be used. There is benefit like keeping up on the news or faster productivity from keeping things digital. The issue lies in when we start moving parts of ourselves to technology that we ideally shouldn't.
