You said earlier that you actually didn't believe in evolution (I will go find the quote if you need me to), but if you did, you'd know that it's a process that acts on a substrate of genetic variation, selecting environmentally suitable traits and favoring the reproductive success of some organisms over others. You would know in this case that differentiation isn't a principle you can just smother out from the workings of nature.
