I have rx 5700 xt it's similar gpu in power as his but doesn't support gaytracing which i wouldn't ever use except for old titles but since it's still unrefined i don't care at this moment. It was dirty cheap just $120 for double perf of my old gtx 1060.

disabled you can't run RT on GTX gpus it would drop to like 3fps
dropping some settings will help, this game looks good even on mix of low/mid settings. People who want to play all games on Ultra are forcing themselves for frequent PC upgrades
Thanks man. I actually recently got into emulators because I wanted to play Castlevania SotN after the anime but turns out Konami doesn't give a damn about making a pc port. So have to play the PS1 version.
I went with nvidia over AMD because AMD cards are harder to find in my country and there's no warranties for them. many of them are used cards from the mining days being repackaged as brand new. Also nvidia works better with apps.
Fr. The best gpu I've owned is a GT 630M. I've always had to pick and choose what games I CAN run and moat of the times on low settings.

12400 is pretty cold, AIO is overkill for such CPU
The AMD products aren't popular in my country at all (which is a shame). The ryzen 5 7500f costs about $183. The 32gb of 6000Mhz ram would be I think about $200 here. The B650M costs less but the overall cost would be more.
AM5 mobos are super expensive, he should get i7 12700k or even better i9 12900k used instead. It will have same perf as top AMD cpu at fraction of a cost. I'm hunting now for one of those two especially ones with AVX-512 still enabled.
all motherboards got more expensive. Recently there were deals for ASRock B650M Pro RS for around 140 USD. Building on AM5 has an advantage of future CPU ugprades. Like dudes who bought B350 AM4 could just swap their Ryzen 5 1600 for Ryzen 5 5600 or even R7 5800X3D to get decent performance boost.
too expensive even on used market, Intel CPUs drop very little in price on a used market. I remember around few years ago used i7 4770k costed as much as new Ryzen 3600 which is insane.

irrelevant to me i only upgrade cpu+mobo once per generation, while i get 2x gpu upgrades per generation. Ppl been saying same shit about AM4 and how many ppl upgraded their Ryzen 1600/1700 or later to something better? Mot that many.
make sure you add a 2tb ssd for games and use the 500gb for windows
