i got murdered by the ai even in the first mission Cossacks game is fucking brutal

fun fact: the one on the right is a pc-98, but the one on the left is actually a windows pc. The VN on the screen (Kanon) came out in 99 and was never available on the pc-98. most VNs moved from PC-98 to windows around 1997

I bought a working 9821 not too long ago with a bunch of peripherals and games after I got my tax refund. Biggest pain in the ass is shipping. Cost $300 just to ship everything over to me, which is over twice what I paid for everything.

Massive learning curve if you don't know Japanese, though. If I were you I'd stick to non-VN stuff if there are no ROMs online for them that aren't translated.
