That's the subtext of the video. It's not their hobbies that dictated their dating life: Johnny, decent looking, had lots of girlfriends; The King of Smut, being kind of ugly, spent his youth alone. So Johnny got to enjoy video games and sex.

Despite how they frame this video, nerd culture has little to do with dating success. It just so happens people who have lots of spare time and no friends (ie uglies) tend to get into games, anime, etc.

What made me mad about this video is the part where they try to normalize spending one's youth alone (then hitching onto whoever will have you later in life).
